HOUGHTON, William Eugene "Bill", 79, a Wetumpka resident, died Friday, January 1, 2016. Preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Helen M. Houghton, he is survived by a daughter, Julie Sahli (Billy); a son, Joel Houghton (Melissa); grandchildren, Cole Barksdale, Shane Sahli, Will Houghton, Leah Houghton, and Sam Houghton. His Visitation will be held Monday, January 4, 2016, at 1 PM, at Leak Memory Chapel, followed by his Funeral Service at 2 PM, at Leak Memory Chapel, with Minister Randy Medlin officiating. Interment will follow in Montgomery Memorial Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Lee Mathis, Vince Faulk, and Wes, Daniel, Jimmy, and Will Urquhart. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. An Award-Winning Photographer, Bill was most proud of having some of his works published in "National Geographic" Magazine.
