He was preceded in death by his mother, Cornelia Meriwether; brother, Esmond Meriwether; and grandson, Brooks Lazenby.
Billy is survived by his wife of 70 years, Gloria Joyce; one son, Michael (Jane) Meriwether; two daughters, Billie Joyce (Lamar) Lazenby and Susan (Roy) Miers; five grandchildren, Laurie (John) Wesley, Gil (Kim) Miers, Tracy (Michael) Atcheson, Ashlee (Ben) Lowry, and Trent (Maddy) Meriwether; nine Great-Grandchildren; one Great-Great Grandchild; and one sister, Nellie Shook.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 1:00-2:00 with a Graveside Service following in Greenwood Cemetery at 2:00pm with Mike Northcutt officiating.
Pallbearers for the service to include: Gil Miers, John Wesley, Michael Atcheson, Trent Meriwether, Ronnie Johnson, and Robert King.
