Winton Beauchamp

Epsy Winton Beauchamp passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the age of 99. She passed away at her home in Pike Road surrounded by family. She was born in Newville, AL in 1925 to Wheat & Margaret Kirkland Jones. She married James Vernon Beauchamp in December of 1946. They were married for 54 years before he died in 2001. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL. She had a strong faith and relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved her family and enjoyed hosting all of the family gatherings. She also joyfully opened her home countless times to the ladies in her Sunday School class, her domino group, and numerous other groups. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wheat & Margaret Jones; her husband, James Vernon Beauchamp; her brothers, Dayton Jones and Bruce Jones; and her sisters, Juanita Jones Armstrong, Minnie Lou Jones Jinwright, and Polly Jones Glassburn. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Pegues and Nancy Cornett (Grover); her grandchildren, Thomas Pegues, III, Traci Cornett Jackson (Irby), Stephen Pegues (Jaime), and Josh Cornett (Priscilla); her great-grandchildren, Sarah Jackson, Savannah Jackson, Ethan Pegues, and Lucas Pegues. Services will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Wednesday, May 14. Visitation is at 1pm and the funeral service is at 2pm with Rev Winston Brooks and Rev Irby Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The Pallbearers are Larry Alford, Josh Cornett, Allen Friday, Jeffrey Horton, Stephen Pegues, Thomas Pegues, III.
