Bo Kau was born on December 14, 1938 in Hoi Ping, Canton, China. She married Gin Fun Lee in Hong Kong 1959 and shortly after immigrated to Canada. They lived briefly in Vancouver, BC where she gave birth to their daughter, Colleen and shortly after settled in Montreal where they gave birth to Larry and Betty.
She was a loving wife and mother, and a devoted grandmother who united us and stood as a pillar of our family. She instilled the importance of family above all. She dedicated her life to us, making sure we would get together by preparing family dinners every week for 25 years until she was 79 years old. She was full of kindness and generosity. She was famous for her egg rolls. She enjoyed her gardening, friends, mahjong and casinos. Although her English and French were limited, she was known for her favorite lines:“Oh my God!”and “Comme si Comme ca”.
She is survived by her husband, Gin Fun Lee, her children Colleen (Roger), Larry (Iris) and Betty (Pierre), and her grandchildren Marissa, Kevin, Emily, Mathieu and Laurent.
Mom, we will miss you dearly and may you rest in peace.
