Bob (Arthur Robert) Gibbins

Loving husband of Jean Brooks, devoted step-father to Ian Hatton (Rachel Roseberry) and Leah Hatton (Patrick Corney), their joyful children, and Jim Brooks, brother-in -law. Lovingly remembered by Bob’s three siblings, Allan (Barbara), Ann (Rod), and David, and Bob’s numerous, cherished nieces and nephews.

Bob loved living life to the fullest, had a big heart and cared deeply for people. His carreer at CP took him to countries around the world. Later in life he enjoyed years of volunteering at Sun Youth, leading cycling groups of seniors, and as the treasurer of the local legion. Most of all he was passionate about the hot sun and a cold beer with friends from around the world.

We are grateful for all the support from friends and family throughout Bob’s illness.

At Bob’s request, there will be no memorial service, a get together and celebration of his life will be held in the Townships at a later date.

We are so grateful to the expertise of the MUHC - Glen site staff, Cardiac Surgery (Dr. Lachapelle), Coronary Care, ICU, Infectious Disease and Neurology specialists for their exemplary care and kindness throughout.
