
Deborah Ann Kennedy, 72, of Montreal, Quebec, died peacefully on April 26, 2019, at Pavillon Alfred Desrochers. Born November 12, 1947, she is predeceased by her parents, John Angus Gordon Kennedy and Georgina Rose Flanagan, and her sister, Catherine Madonna Kennedy, all of Montreal, alongside whom Deborah will be buried in Greenfield, Ontario.
Deborah, devoted mother of Christine Rose Kennedy and grandmother of Alys Rose Delahaie-Tardy, will be missed by them and her son-in-law, Alain Delahaie-Tardy, all of Canton Schwyz, Switzerland; and by her beloved brothers and their spouses, Leonard and Annie Kennedy of Oakville, Ontario, and Christopher and Margret Kennedy of Leamington, Ontario. Deborah will be remembered fondly by her cousins, nieces and nephews.
Deborah was long-standing member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Parish, and a reliable donor to the Welcome Hall Mission, the Old Brewery Mission and the Canadian Wildlife Federation, reflecting her steadfast faith and commitment to good works. An avid life-long reader, Deborah supported libraries, embraced new technologies, and encouraged reading in her work with young children.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, between 11 am and 1 pm at Collins Clarke MacGillivray, 5610 Sherbrooke St. W., Montréal, Quebec H4A 1W5. In lieu of flowers, to support gynecological cancers research, Deborah’s family welcomes donations to Ovarian Cancer Canada (ovariancanada.org).
