Desmond Jones

Born March 8, 1956 in Montréal, Québec

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Desy, at the MUHC ICU on Monday January 22nd, 2018.

Son to Jacqueline Ross and Desmond Jones (deceased).

Pre-deceased by sister, Margaret (1968), and brother Gerry (2015).

Des is survived by his sisters Barbara, Sheilagh (Michael) and Jennifer; brothers Kevin (Melanie), Barry and David. Dearest uncle to Zachary, Casimir (Rebecca), Tomas, Lucas, Natasha and Nicole; great uncle to Calvin and Penelope Ruth.

Des was a great guy, gentle-natured and unassuming. He led a quiet, yet interesting life, surrounded by caring friends and devoted colleagues.

He was an avid reader, loved classical music and was in the planning stages of travelling to see the Aurora Borealis.

As a final note to his legacy Des gave the gift of life to others through organ donation.

When someone we love dies, we never get to see them again but we will always feel them, because they live on in our hearts and our memories in our smiles and our tears and even though we can't touch them, we will never forget how they touched us.

We will miss you dearly Des.

Visitation will take place at Collins Clarke Funeral Home 5610 Sherbrooke Street West on Thursday, February 8th from 2 – 5pm and 7 – 9pm.

Burial will take place in the Spring of 2018.
