Domingo Antonio Iammatteo

1954 – 2026

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Domingo Antonio Iammatteo, who left us at the age of 71, surrounded by the love of his family.

Antonio was the devoted and loving husband of Antonietta, his partner in life and love. Together they built a family rooted in strength, tradition, and unwavering devotion. He was a proud and dedicated father to Carmela, Sabrina (Joseph), and Daniela (James), and the most adoring Nonno to his cherished grandchildren: Matteo (deceased), Marco, Luca, Christopher, Giordano, Nicolas, and Mila.

Antonio was predeceased by his beloved mother and father, and by his brother. He carried their memory with him always.

A man who found his greatest joy at the center of his family, Antonio loved nothing more than gathering everyone together. His home was often filled with laughter, music, and the aroma of BBQs and home-cooked meals. He was happiest hosting family parties, ensuring everyone was fed, comfortable, and surrounded by warmth. His love language was hospitality — generous, proud, and heartfelt.

Above all else, he adored his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy, and he spoke of them with a smile that could light up a room. His legacy lives on in each of them — in their strength, their laughter, and their love of family.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that his love, traditions, and devotion to family will continue through generations.

A visitation will be held at Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, located at 4525 ch. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal (QC) H3V 1E7, on March 2, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, located at 375 Kitchener Ave, Westmount (QC) H3Z 2G1, on March 3, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
