Duncan Lorne Ross

Le 13 août 2025, Ducan Lorne Ross est décédé paisiblement à Montréal, à l’âge de 80 ans. Il était le fils de Rupert Ross et Elizabeth Martha Sharp ainsi que conjoint de feu Laure Leblanc. Il laisse dans le deuil de nombreux proches et amis, dont sa sœur Elizabeth Ross, son amie Yvonne Gallant. Plusieurs neveux et nièces, dont Geoffrey Leathwood, Alison Leathwood (Matt), Mark Slavik (Sue), Pierre Leblanc, Luc Leblanc (Deovolete), François Leblanc (Marie), sa petite nièce Christina Lavergne Leblanc (Martin), son arrière-neveu et ses arrière-nièces adorés Violette, William et Élizabeth.

Né à Montréal et ayant passé sa jeunesse à Pont-Rouge et ensuite Ottawa, il était revenu vivre à Montréal. Grand voyageur, il a parcouru la planète et se faisait un plaisir de partager ses aventures, clarinettiste dans le West Island New Horizons Band, il sera regretté par ses amis musiciens.

Suivant ses vœux une cérémonie aura lieu le 20 septembre, à 13 heures, à la chapelle du Cimetière Notre-Dame des neiges 4601, chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges. Au lieu des fleurs, des don à Fondation de l’Hôpital St-Mary seraient appréciées.

On August 13, 2025, Duncan Lorne Ross passed away peacefully in Montreal at the age of 80. He was the son of Rupert Ross and Elizabeth Martha Sharp, and husband of the late Laure Leblanc. He is survived by many close family and friends, including his sister Elizabeth Ross and his friend Yvonne Gallant. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including Geoffrey Leathwood, Alison Leathwood (Matt), Mark Slavik (Sue), Pierre Leblanc, Luc Leblanc (Deovolete), François Leblanc (Marie), his great-niece Christina Lavergne Leblanc (Martin), and his beloved great-nephew and great-nieces Violette, William, and Élizabeth.

Born in Montreal and having spent his youth in Pont-Rouge and then Ottawa, he returned to live in Montreal. A great traveler, he traveled the world and delighted in sharing his adventures. A clarinetist in the West Island New Horizons Band, he will be missed by his musician friends.

As per his wishes, a memorial service will be held on September 20th at 1 p.m. at the Notre-Dame des Neiges Cemetery Chapel, 4601 Côte-des-Neiges Road. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
