It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Egidio Campanelli, who peacefully departed us on August 7th, 2025, at the age of 90. Cherished by his children Michael (Carmela), Matthew (Stephanie), and David, and predeceased by his beloved daughter-in-law, Dora. Proud grandfather to his beloved grandchildren, including the late Alex, and great-grandfather to many. Leaving behind his brother, Serge, as well as many nephews and his niece. Predeceased also by his dear longtime friend and companion, Mary Leblanc, with whom he shared many cherished years. Born in Montreal, Quebec, on February 16th, 1935, Egidio’s life was defined by a generous heart, a gentle and kind spirit, a quick wit, and a sharp mind. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for family will be remembered by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Québec in memory of Egidio Campanelli.
