Hanna Bacic

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Hanna Podoba (née Bačić), at Château Westmount C.H.S.L.D., on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the age of 101 years.

Cherished mother of Juliana Podoba, John Podoba, husband of Lihua Yan, and Anthony Podoba. Treasured grandmother of Jamal Nehar-Belaid and Matis Podoba.

Hanna was predeceased by her parents, Mariana Vukelić and Karlo Bačić, and by her sister, Ranka O’Rooney.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Centre Funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, 4525 chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, QC, H3V 1E7. Visitation will be held on January 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church (375 Kitchener Avenue, Westmount, QC, H3Z 2G1) on Friday, January 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at 1:45 PM at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.

Avis de décès de Hanna Podoba (née Bačić)

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que la famille annonce le décès de Hanna Podoba (née Bačić), survenu au CHSLD Château Westmount, le mardi 16 décembre 2025, à l’âge de 101 ans.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Juliana Podoba, John Podoba, époux de Lihua Yan, et Anthony Podoba, ainsi que ses petits-enfants Jamal Nehar-Belaid et Matis Podoba.

Hanna est allée rejoindre ses parents, Mariana Vukelić et Karlo Bačić, ainsi que sa sœur, Ranka O’Rooney, qui l’ont précédée dans la mort.

Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés aux soins et à la direction du Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, situé au 4525, chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal (Québec) H3V 1E7.

La visite aura lieu le 8 janvier 2025, de 17 h à 21 h.

Une messe funéraire sera célébrée à l’église Ascension of Our Lord (375, avenue Kitchener, Westmount (Québec) H3Z 2G1), le vendredi 9 janvier 2025 à 11 h.

L’inhumation suivra à 13 h 45 au cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges.
