Our Joy Alice O’Connell passed away far too soon at the age of 53 in peace and comfort with her family by her side on the afternoon of March 31, 2021 after a long struggle with cancer.

Beloved daughter of Margaret Ermekeil O’Connell and the late Thomas James O’Connell, sister of Lorraine (husband Dan), Belinda (Luc), Brian (Christine). Ross, Constance (Ron), nieces and nephew Jennifer, Stéphanie, Bailey, Amanda, Kevin, Mathieu, Eric, Andrew, Mark and many friends.

A celebration of Joy’s life will be held Monday April 5, 2021 at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Homes 5610 Sherbrooke W. Visitation from 1:00 - 4:00 followed by a service in the Chapel.

Due to Covid restrictions only family may attend the visitation and memorial service.

In lieu of flowers Joy would have appreciated a donation to the sick kids foundation of Toronto where she lived and donated every month.

Sorry to hear about Joy's passing. I have worked with Joy since she started with us in 1994. I always remember her as an avid Montreal Canadians fan (only one in the office) she was always the first to pick them in our hockey pool.
She will be missed.

Joy, will be missed by her fellow staff at Lange Transportation and Storage of Mississauga, Ontario
she was with us for approx 20 years and it sadly we got this news after her passing
this past year with the virus she was waiting for that phone call to get back to do what she loved to do in doing billings for the company.
Our deepest condolence to the family of Joy, she will be missed and remembered fondly.

My deepest condolences to aunt Peggy and the whole family. She will be dearly missed. I remember Joy as a wonderful, beautiful person with a heart of gold. she was taken from us far too soon. Her fight is over. She is in heaven, now.
