À Westmount, le 7 janvier 2014, à l’âge de 82 ans est décédée Lorraine Parkyn (née LeBlanc). Fille de feu Joseph Louis LeBlanc et Jennie Orr, elle laisse dans le deuil ses filles Lisa, Tania et Sonia et son fils James, ses petits enfants, Teya, Sacha , Sophia et Samuel. La famille recevra les condoléances au Centre Funéraire Côtes-des-Neiges, 4525 chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal le 26 janvier 2014 de midi à 15 h. suivi par le service et une réception. L’inhumation des cendres se fera à une date ultérieure dans l’intimité familiale. It is with profound sadness the family announces Lorraine’s peaceful passing on January 7, 2014 in Westmount, Quebec at the age of 82 following a lengthy illness. We take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her parents, Joseph Louis and Jennie (Orr) LeBlanc, and welcomed with loving arms by her beloved siblings.

Cherished mother of Lisa, James (Ruth Chaytor), Tania (Jim Nicolaou) and Sonia. Grandmother to Teya, Sacha, Sophia and Samuel. Our heartfelt thanks to her caregiver, Bethune Barrett, and Dr. Howard Dawang, Heather Saintiche, Vivette Williams and the caring and compassionate staff at CHSLD St. Margaret’s.

Dearest Momsie, you chose to live passionately, love unconditionally, give generously and see possibilities, beauty, and goodness in all. A life lived with kindness, compassion, grace, and dignity. May you rest in peace Momsie, we love you and will miss you. Forever in our hearts and memories.

A celebration of Lorraine’s life will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the Centre Funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, 4525 chémin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, (514) 342-8000. Visitation will be from noon to 3:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service and reception.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lorraine’s name to the Nature Conservancy of Canada or the charity of your choice.
