Oh do we miss our dear Maggy.  She was a kind soul and one of a kind.

Auf wiedersehen tolle dame. It was great to meet you and learn from you about German culture.

Such fond memories of dear Maggy.  
Years ago,  Maggie and John O’Hara picked us up in Quebec City  when we ended our cruise and drove us to Maggy’s  home in Montreal .  We spent  a few days there and were treated like royalty.  Her daughter Daniella joined us for a fabulous dinner.
In May 2014, Maggy and John graced us with their presence at our wedding.  Many of our friends were awe struck with this beautiful, outgoing friend of ours.  As we all know, Maggy did not know a stranger..
We could go on and on talking about this
wonderful, fun loving, intelligent friend of ours.
We will miss her terribly.

J’ai aimé ta mère, Daniela.  Je l’ai peut-être en effet peu connue, croisée ici et là dans quelques sombres couloirs de Radio-Canada, mais sache que je l’ai aimée, simplement parce qu’elle était de fait ta maman, parce que tu en étais la fille et assurément, bien évidemment, parce que je t’aime, toi !

Je t’aime, Daniela, pour tout ce que tu es, qui plus est pour tout ce que as fait depuis des lustres pour ta mère et ce, avant même qu’elle ne soit souffrante, pour ces mille-et-un bienfaits que tu lui prodiguais lorsque tu la soignais, la berçais, la choyais et la cajolais, pour ta bienveillance, ton indulgence, ta patience, ta vigilance, voire ton humanité, ta fidélité et ta bonté immanente !

Quoi qu’on pense, quoi qu’on dise, j’estime et affirme haut et fort, à cor et à cri, que c’est grâce à ta généreuse présence journalière, à tes soins avenants, à ton amour avéré inconditionnel et d’autant éternel, chère Daniela, que Maggy, ta mère, notre amie, a ainsi enfin pu trépasser sereinement, somme toute, de notre monde grossier à celui infini de l’immortalité, de la félicité et de l’angélicité.  

Pour tout cela, Daniela, de tout cœur, merci !

My sincerest condolences to the family.  I will always remember  Maggy as a witty, intelligent woman and a wonderful friend. May she rest in peace. 

My most heart felt condolences go out to my children, Daniela and Oliver.

Not only was Maggy an award winning host producer in RCI’s German Section, she was also one of the original members of our campaign to restore RCI. After the German Section was eliminated, she worked in RCI’s Audience Relations Department so that she could continue to support RCI. Since those efforts in the 1990s she never flagged in her support for us, even after she left RCI. Time after time it was her determination and calls to continue the fight that made it possible for us to continue until this day.

I will miss her friendship and her encouragement, and will never forget how important she was to Radio Canada International.

Non seulement Maggy était une animatrice-réalisatrice dans la section allemande de RCI, mais elle était également l'un des membres originaux de notre campagne pour restaurer RCI. Après la suppression de la section allemande, elle a travaillé au service des relations avec le public de RCI afin de pouvoir continuer à soutenir RCI. Depuis ces efforts dans les années 1990, elle n'a jamais cessé de nous soutenir, même après avoir quitté RCI. Maintes et maintes fois, c'est sa détermination et ses appels à poursuivre le combat qui nous ont permis de continuer jusqu'à ce jour.

Son amitié et ses encouragements me manqueront, et je n'oublierai jamais à quel point elle était importante pour Radio Canada International.

Im so sorry for your loss daniela. Your mum was a lovely lady. She gave me my first plant which lived the longest and made me happy. May her spirit guide you in your remaining journey.

I loved Maggy! she was so open, honest and no nonsense! I would come over to babysit Daniela and Oliver and she would talk to me as more than a teenager. I had such a good time with Daniela - like the little sister i always wished for and Maggy made me feel so mature. 
Being at Maggy's house somehow always felt like Christmas. She introduced me to  amazing german delicacies (i especially remember the lebkuchen at Christmas) and gave me a peak into the world of adults.
I am so sorry for your loss. Now, almost 40 years later and miles away, i remember Maggy with such love and warmth.


As a little girl, Maggy was so kind to me, calling me “Shotzi” and giving strong and enveloping hugs. 

Now, Daniela calls me “Bijou”, the legacy of love and kindness continues, and forever I will feel grateful.

Dear Daniela,

I only met your mom a little over 20 years ago and yet I have so many wonderful memories of her .... dinner at each other's house, drinks in her lovely backyard, concerts and movies, fireworks on the rooftop in Old Montreal, etc, etc.
The Maggy I got to know and love was so full of life, had a tremendeous thirst for knowledge and a deep appreciation of all arts.
I will miss her and send you my heartfelt sympathy.

Nous sommes en France avec Rebecca, qui Vit en France.

Mais nous nous rappelons bien de cette femme plein d énergie qui nous a côtoyé pendant votre petite enfance à toutes les deux.
