It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Payette, who peacefully transitioned to the ancestral world on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Margaret was a strong and supportive woman, mother, and friend who inspired many through her life as a nurse in both the public and private sectors. Born in Montreal, Québec on November 25, 1951, she built a foundation for herself that was guided by resilience, kindness and caregiving. Her legacy is cherished and held by her only child, Michael, his partner, Warona, and her step-granddaughter, Khaya, as well as her dear friend, Melissa. She fought to the end as she did throughout her whole life, and the family is grateful for her unconditional love and generosity of spirit.
