Maria Guerriero (Nee Iannuzzi)

Born in Avellino, Italy on July 22, 1933, Maria lived a life full of love, warmth, and devotion to her family. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Maria’s unwavering faith, dedication to her family, and her passion for cooking and baking were a testament to her incredible spirit. She was known for her kindness, wisdom, and the way she could make anyone feel at home with her infectious smile and caring nature. Her family was her greatest pride, and she instilled in them the values of compassion, perseverance, and the importance of close family bonds.

Beloved wife of 67 years to Cosimo Guerriero. Loving mother of Nino (late Leigh), Reggie, Francesco, Giuseppe (Rosaria), their grandchildren, Ashleigh, Giuliana (Anthony), Vanessa (Joseph), Drew (Jordyn), Gabriella (Aaron), and their great-grandchildren, Chiara Rose, Silvio Giuseppe, Lorenzo Cosimo and Kaden Leigh. As well as her family and friends in Canada, United States and Italy, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

The family would like to thank all those who supported her through the years, offering love, comfort, and companionship. A special thank you to the caregivers and nurses at the CLSC René-Cassin, CLSC Palliative Care Department and doctors, nurses and PABs at the Mount Sinai Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

Maria will forever be remembered as the heart and soul of our family, and her love will continue to guide us.

A visitation will be held in her honor on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 5610 Sherbrooke St. W, Montréal, Québec.

A funeral Mass to celebrate her life will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Église catholique Saint-Raymond-de-Pennafort, located at 5765 Rue Saint-Jacques, Montréal, QC H4A 2E8, Canada.

For those unable to attend in person, Collins Clarke MacGillivray White will webcast the funeral ceremony of Maria Guerriero on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 8:50 AM EDT to 10:30 AM EDT.
