Peacefully at Sunrise Senior Residence, Dollard des Ormeaux aged 98 years.

While we mourn her loss, she is now at peace with her beloved husband Currie. Daughter of the late Edwin Alfred Parkinson and Mary Margaret Kinsey Hamilton. She was predeceased by her first husband James Callaghan and her second husband Samuel Currie Millar. She was the last remaining sibling of her family and respective in-laws. Predeceased by her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Llewella (Elton), Mildred (Henry) and three brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Anne), Elmer (Aelene) and Arthur (Florence).

Mary worked at AGC Glass Company and then later at Concordia University, first as Manager of Student Accounts (Loyola Campus) then after the merger of both Student Accounts Offices (SGW and Loyola), as Assistant Manager on the SGW Campus. Mary retired from Concordia in January 1990 and began volunteering at the Catherine Booth Hospital and the Montreal Association for the Blind (MAB).

She married Currie in June 1996 and they lived on Westhill Avenue until May 2012 when they moved into Place Kensington where they remained until April 2017. Her niece Ellen then moved them to Sunrise in Dollard Des Ormeaux where her mother (Florence) also resided and for all three to be closer to her. Mary took great interest in her nieces and nephews and keeping up with news about each of their families.

She is survived by Ellen (Phil) and Evan, Connie (deceased); Susan (Bob deceased), Karen (deceased), Brian (deceased) (Lou-Anne) and Emma, Janet (Bill), Chris, Matt and Sarah; David (Elizabeth deceased), Andy, Daphne and Rachel, (Sara) Geoffrey and Cameron; Gordon (Jean) Brett and Ryan; Daniel. We would like to express our deepest gratitude and thanks to all the staff at Sunrise for their excellent care given to Mary over the four and a half years she spent there and especially in her final days. Special thank you to Jasodra (Jaz), Nita, Evangeline, Alyshia, Nancy, Carmela, Lloyd and Michael.
