Mary Catherine Richards

I died at 93, quite surprised to have made it to such an age. I look back and am thankful for a wonderful full live. Family and friends have been so supportive through the ups and downs of life – always there when needed. My blessings have been many: my children John (Kathy), Jane (Dave) and Peter (Rima) have been a joy and have made me so proud. Grandchildren Ashley, Erin, Brendan, Luke, Wilson, Georgette, Spencer and Darcy are all amazing young people and have enriched my life and kept me young. My brother Bill (Donna) who has always supported me, and my lovely nieces Beth and Monica.

I had the health to enjoy a variety of sports both summer (golf, tennis, lawn bowling) and winter (skiing, badminton, curling) and was also able to indulge in my passion of travel.

Music has been a constant in my life since I was twelve when I joined a choir and have been singing since then. My music has been both a joy and a comfort when times were tough.

I have loved and been loved by family and friends, which has filled my life with great joy.

Celebration of Life (party!) will be held at Collins and Clarke, 5610 Sherbrooke St West, in NDG on Wednesday, July 18. Condolences at 11:00 a.m. Celebration at 12:00 p.m. Reception (Party!) at 12:30 p.m.
