May God rest his soul in peace in the Paradise of Joy. We will never forget how Dr. Monir stood by our dying mom, Helene, traveling from Montreal to Toronto and comforting her and definitely us . Love you

﻿ Dr Abou-Madi was a great mentor and an esteemed colleague. He was wise, modest, gentle, caring and a role model. I learned so much from him, not only about medicine, but also how to be a better person, and I always enjoyed our philosophical conversations . His was a life well-lived and in the service of others.

Je Vous remercie pour votre gentillesse vos enseignements et votre amitié sincère à mon égard durant toutes les années où j’ai travaillée avec Vous.
J’ai beaucoup appris en votre présence et je Vous en suis infiniment reconnaissante. Je tiens à Vous exprimer encore une fois mon admiration et mon respect envers un Homme d’Exception tel que Vous.
Je tiens aussi a offrir mes condoléances à tous les membres de votre précieuse famille ainsi qu’à ce clan de merveilleuses femmes dont Vous étiez si fière et tout particulièrement à votre chère épouse qui, je me souviens, préparait votre orange quartier par quartier et la déposait, j’imagine, tout doucement dans votre boîte à lunch, le midi venu Vous n’aviez qu’à cueillir et déguster tout l’amour qu’elle Vous portait par ce simple geste 

On my mom’s birthday (Helene Nahal) which is on July 25, Our dearest Dr. Mounir passed away. Not only are you Dr. Mounir, my mom’s cousin yet her truly loving brother. Words can not explain the feeling of sadness to know you left. We will never forget everything you have done or who you are. We may have lost you here on earth but we know indeed that Heaven has gained an Angel. We love you and will miss you. Our deepest condolences to Tante Aida, Noha, and Mona. May his soul Rest In Peace  and his memory be eternal.

My "Habibi", Dr. Mounir Abou-Madi, was truly a "Gentleman, a Scholar and a man of tremendous humility.  Mounir had such a warmth, charm and gentleness, he was a true gentleman.  He was academically brilliant, made research appear simple (or at least, simpler!), and a superb medical educator: he represented the finest of McGill University.  But his most impressive quality is his service to mankind, as a teacher, as a researcher, as well as to his family & friends, while asking for nothing in return. His accomplishments never took away his humility.  He will always have a special place in our hearts, as he taught us to pay it forward for future generations, as he did for us.  He will be sorely missed.  Our sincere condolences to the family on your loss.  Thank you for sharing him with us.

I have worked with Dr. Abou-madi for over 25 yrs. at the Neuro.
The many qualities that he possessed cannot be expressed in words.
I will simply say that Dr. Abou as we fondly call him is a paragon of virtues.
May eternal rest shine upon him.

And also definitely your presence and help with my mom’s sister, tante Marie in Egypt, where you saved her life.  Dr. Mounir, your peaceful, sincere, and loving heart, and your beautiful smile are engraved in our hearts. May God rest your soul in His Heavenly Kingdom and May He grant comfort to Tante Aida, Noha and Mona.

I worked with Dr. Abou Madi for over 25 years and will always remember his kind heart and sense of humor. My husband Ian also worked with him and we often think of him and his wonderful family. Our prayers and thoughts are with them at this difficult time. God bless.
