It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nicolo D’Angelo, at the age of 90.
Born in Italy, he came to Canada at just 17 years old, carrying with him little more than his determination, courage, and dreams for a better future. Through hard work, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to his family, he built a successful life and established himself as a respected businessman and property owner.
While he was proud of everything he accomplished, his greatest achievement was always his family. He was a devoted father to his two sons, Jason (Jennifer) and John, and a loving grandfather to his four grandchildren Jaden, Aidan, Liam and Ava, who brought him immense joy and pride. He is survived by his brother Giovani and sister Teresa.
He had a deep love for his home and garden, taking great pleasure in caring for his plants and watching his garden grow. Especially special were when he would harvest his vegetables with his grandchildren. He was also happiest in the kitchen, where he loved to cook for his family—especially preparing his beloved pasta dishes for his grandchildren. These meals were about much more than food; they were moments of togetherness, laughter, tradition, and love.
He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generosity, love of family, and the life he built from humble beginnings. His journey from a 17-year-old arriving from Italy to a successful businessman and devoted family man is a testament to his determination and character.
He leaves behind his two sons, four grandchildren, and a family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. The lessons he taught, the traditions he created, the meals he shared, and the love he gave will continue through the generations.
He came to Canada as a young man with a dream. He left behind a family, a legacy, and a lifetime of memories.
