It is with great sadness, yet with joyful memories, that we announce the peaceful passing of Olga Chicka Stanimir on the 30th April 2020 at the age of ninety-seven. Known to her loved ones as Baba, Olga truly lived a full life, driven by her tireless dedication to her dearest late husband William Stanimir and her family.
Olga's life began in Pointe St-Charles, where she grew up as part of Montreal's Ukrainian community.
With her husband, Olga moved from the Pointe to Rosemont and then to Town of Mount-Royal, where she raised her four children. As a mother and wife, she was known for her subtle yet unwavering strength and for her sweetness as a grandmother and great-grandmother.
