Pam is greatly mourned and missed by Henry (Hank), her beloved husband of 43 years.
Pam was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Margaret Meyer. She leaves behind her loving family, sister Deborah (Gino Landry), niece Sarah and brother Jon (Kathy), Uncle Roger, Aunt Melinda, Aunt Susan and Aunt Irene. She was also much loved, and will be fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Elisabeth Paradis, Johanna (Youichi) Motoi, Cathy (John) Vedder, Grace (Patrick) Pidduck and brother-in-law Paul (Emily) Benckhuysen and many nieces and nephews.
Pam was a longtime member of the Lakeshore Creative Stitchery Guild, to which she contributed in many ways over the years, serving as President and participating in many committees. A skilled and talented embroiderer in various techniques, including cross-stitch, whitework, blackwork, crewel and, her latest love, traditional Japanese embroidery, she was also a very popular and highly respected teacher.
Another passion of Pam’s was classical music; she played both piano and violin and was a longtime and active member and second violinist of the Lakeshore Chamber Orchestra.
Pam enjoyed the outdoors very much. She loved camping with Hank, especially at their favourite time of year in early October.
Pam will be much missed by her family and many friends and colleagues.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Christian Reformed Church, 52 Rue Joseph Paiement, Dollard-des-Ormeaux at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday January 20, with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in the form of contributions in Pam’s name to the West Island Mission [https://www.wimmoi.org/]
