Pigi Frangouli

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Pigi Frangouli in Montreal at the age of 87 after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late Christos Nicolopoulos, both grew up in the same town of Pyrgos, Greece and later married in Montreal happily for 60 years.

She leaves to mourn her children; Dia (Dino Vonapartis), Ted (Anastasia Giannoukakis) and her precious and adored grandson Nicholas Vonapartis. She also leaves behind family both in Montreal and in Greece that she wholeheartedly loved and saw the beauty and inner light of each one. She served as a nurse at the Royal Victoria Hospital for 30 years. She touched many people throughout her life and will always be remembered for her infinite kindness, warmth and spiritual perspective towards all.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of the VIGI-DDO for their exceptional care, kindness and compassion during Pigi’s stay. Special heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital intensive care unit whose level of professionalism is beyond reproach.

The family will receive your condolences on Sunday December 8th 2019 from 2pm to 9pm at the Centre Funéraire Côte-de-Neiges, 4525 Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal, H3V 1E7.

The church service will be held at 11am on Monday December 9th 2019, at Saint-Georges Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 2455 Chemin de la Côte Sainte-Catherine, Montreal, H3T 1A8.
