Raffaele Lanni

June 3, 1934 – October 3, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raffaele (Ralph) Lanni on October 3, 2021. He is predeceased by his brothers Domenico Antonio, Gabriele, and Ettore Lanni.

He is survived by his doting wife of 59 years, Michelina (Mickey) Faccone; his loving children Luciana (Brendan), Tina (Ottavio), Leana (Francesco), and Anthony; his cherished granddaughters Alexandra, Diandra, and Kayla, and his many nieces and nephews.

Born to Giovanni Lanni and Maria Annunziata Colasurdo in Morrone del Sannio, Italy, Ralph moved to Montreal in 1952 and built a life for himself and his family. He had faced many challenges in his life, but faced them all with incredible strength and resilience. Right until the end, he enjoyed gardening, winemaking, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. He was always the first to lend a helping hand, whether it was family, friends, or neighbours. He will be dearly missed.

Visitation at the Centre funéraire Dignité (4525 ch. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal, QC H3V 1E7) on Monday, October 11, 2021, from 1 pm to 6 pm. Mass will be held at the same location on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 10 am. In lieu of flowers and to honour Ralph’s love of animals, donations can be made to the Montreal SPCA in his memory.
