Redwood, Richard G., 75, in Montreal on October 26th after a short illness. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Betty) and loving father and best friend to his sons Mark (Melissa Marschke Redwood) of Ottawa and David (Heather Breeze) of Halifax. Affectionate Granddad of Alex and Luke. He will be sorely missed by his family in England: sister Jo (Tom) Nelson, niece Tammy and nephew Giles. Richard was born in Wimborne, England and came to Canada in the late 1950s. He was a professor of civil engineering at McGill University and was honoured to be named Professor Emeritus. He was a man of many interests and talents. He was passionate about golf and was a long-time member of the Dufferin Heights Golf Club in Stanstead where he made many friends. He had a special love of the Eastern Townships where he spent four decades enjoying and improving his cottage, the place he loved most. He was a gifted artist who spent his winters after his retirement studying and painting in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
