Rosaria 'Rosa' D'Alessio

1962 - 2018

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Rosa D'Alessio, after a fiercely fought battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her husband, Richard Salaciak, her children Alyssa and Matt (Emma), her sister Pina (Tony), her brother Rocco (Anna), her father Giovanni, her nieces and nephews Jamie (Michael), Brandon, Giuliano, Ilaria, and Giustina, her special cousin Chiara (John), her stepson Jason (Tanya), and her many, many relatives and friends. She has been reunited with her mother Giustina, and with her cousins, aunts, and uncles from Canada and Italy.

We would like to thank Drs. Stephen Caplan, Matthew Oughton, Hans Knecht, Sylvain Néron, Denny Laporta, Patricia McMillan, Paul Warshawsky, the entire staff of the K7 floor and the intensive care unit of the Jewish General Hospital, Yelitza Fuentes de Mendoza, and Russell Dohinog, for their compassion, unwavering devotion, and for providing the utmost exceptional care.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 2nd from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 10pm at the Centre Funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, 4525 ch de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, Qc H3V 1E7. The service will be held on Thursday May 3rd at 12pm at the Chapel of the Centre.

Our mother had planned to get involved in cancer research fundraising and patient advocacy once she was well.
