Daughter of the late Bill and Annie Humphrey, she joins her devoted late husband of 58 years, George Wileman, and is mourned by her loving children Dave (Chari), Susie (Ciaran), Maggie (Steve), Heather (Jim), as well as her adoring grandchildren Joel, Liam (Michelle), Declan, Claire and Sophie, and her great-grandchildren Naomi and Rowan.
The family would like to extend a special word of thanks to the incredible staff at CHSLD Henri-Bradet, specifically Lynn, Jessie, Sonia, Michael, Juleen, Vida, Carla, Ingemar, Linda, Kristina and Dr. Maiolo. Your compassion, devotion and care over the years meant so much to her and to all of us. Ruth was doubly blessed to have received wonderful visits from caregivers Gwen, Mike and Alanna.
Team Ruth knocked it out of the park !
Ruth was very involved in her community, as a long time member of her local Legion, and New Hope volunteer. She was a devoted parishioner of Saint Luke’s Church in Rosemount and later, Saint Columba's Church in NDG. She built a home not just for her family, but one that was open to her community and full of life. Those fortunate enough to have known her will remember a sweet and kind woman who wore her heart on her sleeve, had a great sense of humour, laughed and danced every chance she got, and loved her family fiercely.
Ruth will be greatly missed by all of us.
