

Lena leaves behind her beloved husband, Victor (Uwing), and her loving children, Vicky, Jennifer, Jackson, and Camille (Christopher). She was a proud and devoted Nani to her grandson, Caleb, who brought her much joy.
Born to Gool and Goolshan (Irene) in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, Lena was the third daughter in her family. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Winston, Farouk, Fariza, Patricia, Ken, and Terry. She was predeceased by her brothers Boyse, Raffick, Frankie, Roland, Errol, and Torrance.
Lena held a special place in her heart for Linda, Charlene, Mark Anthony, and Michael, whom she helped raise and loved as her own. Her guidance, care, and unwavering support left a lasting impact on their lives.
She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends whose lives she touched throughout the years.
Lena moved to Canada in 1970, where she dedicated 38 years of service as a Registered Nurse at the Royal Victoria Hospital. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing, reflecting her commitment to education and excellence in her profession. Nursing was more than a profession to her—it was a reflection of her compassionate nature and her lifelong commitment to caring for others. Throughout her career, she touched the lives of countless patients, families, and colleagues through her kindness, dedication, and professionalism.
She was a proud member of the Caribbean community. She cherished the relationships she built throughout her life and found great joy in bringing people together and staying connected to her community.
Lena will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, her kindness, and the care she showed to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Burial service will take place on Thursday, June 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to attend and pay their final respects. For those attending, a Trinidad and Tobago flag will be displayed at the gravesite in Section C to help guide visitors to the location.
