Simone Naccache

Née à Alexandrie, en Égypte, la vie de Simone a été marquée par une force tranquille, une foi profonde et un amour indéfectible pour sa famille. Elle a déménagé au Liban en 1963 et puis au Canada en 1982. En 1948, elle a épousé Marcel Naccache, avec qui elle a partagé plus de quatre décennies jusqu'à son décès en 1991.

Simone était la sœur adorée de feu Antoine Artinoff, la mère dévouée de Camille et Nabil (Susan), la grand-maman bien-aimée de Jacqueline (Colin) et Oliver, et l'arrière-grand-mère de Lily et Noah. Elle laisse dans le deuil plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins et ami(e)s. Sa famille était sa plus grande joie et son héritage perdure en eux.

Pendant 20 ans, Simone a fait du bénévolat à L'espoir, c'est la vie à l'Hôpital général juif de Montréal, offrant réconfort et compagnie aux personnes confrontées au cancer et à la perte d'un être cher. Elle était une personne très altruiste, l'incarnation de l'amour en action. Elle avait le don de rassembler les gens autour de la table, chaque repas étant cuisiné avec tant d'amour.

Sa chaleur, sa grâce et sa gentillesse inébranlable manqueront à tous ceux qui ont eu le privilège de la connaître.

Nous tenons à remercier tout le personnel du Centre gériatrique Maimonides pour tout leur soutien au cours des deux dernières années.

La famille recevra les condoléances le vendredi 9 mai 2025, de 14h à 18h. La suite des funérailles auront lieu le samedi 10 mai 2025 au salon funéraire Collins Clarke, situé au 5610, rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montréal, Québec. Les condoléances seront reçues à partir de 10h, suivies d'un service dans la chapelle à 11h.

Le vendredi 30 mai 2025, à 11 h 15, la famille procédera à l’inhumation du cercueil au cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges, situé au 4601, chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, Québec, H3V 1E7.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Simone Naccache (born Artinoff), on May 4th 2025, at the remarkable age of 99.

Born in Alexandria, Egypt, Simone’s life was one of quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering love for her family. She moved to Lebanon in 1963, and later made her home in Canada in 1982. In 1948, she married Marcel Naccache, with whom she shared more than four decades until his passing in 1991.

Simone was a loving sister to the late Antoine Artinoff, a devoted mother to Camille and Nabil (Susan), a beloved Grand-maman to Jacqueline (Colin) and Oliver, and a cherished great-grandmother to Lily and Noah. She leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Her family was her greatest joy, and her legacy lives on in them.

For 20 years, Simone volunteered at Hope and Cope at the Montréal Jewish General Hospital, offering comfort and companionship to those facing cancer and loss. She was the most selfless person, the embodiment of love in action. She had a gift for bringing people together around the table, each meal cooked with so much love.

Her warmth, grace, and unwavering kindness will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

We wish to thank all the staff of the Maimonides Geriatric Centre for all their support over the past two years.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will continue on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, located at 5610 Sherbrooke Street West, Montreal, Quebec. The family will receive condolences again starting at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m.

On Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11:15 a.m., the family will hold the casket burial at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, located at 4601 Côte-des-Neiges Road, Montreal, Quebec, H3V 1E7.
