Souad Malek

It is with the heaviest heart that we announce the passing of our loving mom Souad Nimer Malek, on March 8, 2021 in Montréal, QC, at the age of 86.

Beloved wife for 41 years to our late father Abdul Jalil Faraj, cherished mother of her daughters Mona and Dr May Faraj and her son Mazen Faraj and devoted grandmother of Elias and Lucas. She will be deeply missed by her daughter-in-law Katya, and her brothers Youssef and Drs Samir and Issam Malek. She will also be missed by so many family members and close friends in North America, Europe and the Middle East, especially Syria and United Arab Emirates where she lived and worked before moving to Canada. She rests in peace with the loving souls of her husband, her mother Alia Tomeh, her father Nimer Malek, and her brothers Drs Wasfi and Shawki Malek.

In light of the current circumstances, her immediate family will gather privately to celebrate her life and receive condolences on March 12, 2021 at 9:30 – 10:30 am followed by the funeral service at 10:30 – 11:30 am at the Chapel of the Côte-des-Neiges Funeral Center (4525 chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, QC, H3V 1E7).
