Suzanne Davidson

Fille de feu Gérard et Isabelle (née Houde) Davidson, Suzanne était la 2e de trois enfants. Dans sa famille proche, elle laisse dans le deuil sa sœur aînée, Lise, et son frère Richard (Avril), ainsi que ses neveux et nièces, David, Mikoua et Kiam (Lise) et Caitlan et Sarah (Richard), en plus d’une petite-nièce et d’un petit-neveu, Selma et Hakim (Mikoua). De nombreux autres proches et amis sympathisent aussi avec la famille.

Pour parler de Suzanne…

Cette dernière détenait de belles qualités, qui ont participé à son charme. Bilingue, il lui a été facile de trouver de l’emploi, surtout par téléphone, pour le gouvernement, et ensuite, comme vendeuse, pour des entreprises telles que Coca-Cola et Natrel. Elle était reconnue pour son accueil chaleureux, son immense générosité, son écoute attentive, et sa fidélité auprès de ses ami.e.s et animaux. Petit point à noter (énorme pour Suzanne)… Elle a beaucoup pleuré la perte de son petit chien, Bonsaï, son fidèle compagnon des dernières années. Par ailleurs, elle aimait soigneusement se préparer pour faire vivre à ses invités, de fabuleux moments en sa compagnie. Fin gourmet à ses heures, elle aimait cuisiner et fréquenter de bons restos. Le jazz était sa musique préférée, suivie de la musique du monde, entre autres. Un intérêt pour la généalogie a su combler des heures de loisir. Très organisée de nature, tout ce qu’elle considérait comme lui étant inutile, elle en faisait cadeau. Du point de vue vestimentaire, plusieurs personnes ont pu apprécier ses dons. Elle aimait beaucoup la vue sur l’eau. Alors, au cours de l’été dernier, un voyage familial fut organisé par son frère et sa belle-sœur en Nouvelle-Écosse, dans lequel sa sœur et elle furent de l’équipe. Ce qui lui a fait profiter, avec ses proches, de magnifiques vues sur l’eau, mémorisées en photos. La veille de son décès, de belles prises de vue témoignent de son plaisir à contempler l’eau et à respirer l’air frais. Malheureusement, de toute sa liste de choses à faire, son voyage en Écosse, le pays d’origine de son nom de famille n’aura pas été rayé.

Suzanne a demandé à être incinérée, puis enterrée au même endroit que ses parents, au cimetière Notre-Dame à Cornwall, situé au 17 945 South Branch Road, South Stormont, Ontario. L’enterrement se fera le samedi 24 mai 2025 à 10h. À la demande de Suzanne, aucune cérémonie religieuse ne sera faite. Elle n’a pas spécifié de dons à un organisme quelconque. Libre à chacun. Cependant, elle est décédée des suites d’un cancer.

Les personnes qui souhaitent assister à l’enterrement sont invitées à se rendre à l’adresse ci-haut mentionnée. Quelques paroles seront exprimées sur place par certains proches. La famille se réunira également pour le dîner dans un restaurant à proximité. Le dîner est ouvert à toutes les personnes qui assisteront à l’enterrement. April 18, 2025... A memorable day for Suzanne Davidson's family. Sue's unexpected passing came sooner than anticipated. On Good Friday, no less! With all that could entail.

Daughter of the late Gérard and Isabelle (born Houde) Davidson, Suzanne was the 2nd of three children. In her immediate family, she is survived by her elder sister, Lise, and her brother Richard (Avril), as well as her nieces and nephews, David, Mikoua and Kiam (Lise) and Caitlan and Sarah (Richard), and a grandniece and grandnephew, Selma and Hakim (Mikoua). Many other relatives and friends also sympathize with the family.

Speaking of Suzanne...

Suzanne had many fine qualities that contributed to her charm. Bilingual, it was easy for her to find work, working on the phone for the government, and later as a saleswoman for companies such as Coca-Cola and Natrel. She was known for her warm welcome, immense generosity, attentive listening and loyalty to her friends and pets. A small point to note (a huge one for Suzanne)... She sadly mourned the loss of her little dog, Bonsaï, her faithful companion of recent years. At the same time, she loved to prepare herself carefully so that her guests could experience fabulous moments in her company. An avid gourmet, she loved to cook and dine out. Jazz was her favorite music, followed by world music, among others. An interest in genealogy filled her spare time. Very organized by nature, anything she considered unnecessary she gave away. In terms of clothing, many people appreciated her gifts. She loved the view of the water. So, last summer, her brother and sister-in-law organized a family trip to Nova Scotia, in which she and her sister were part of the team. This gave her and her loved ones the opportunity to enjoy magnificent views of the water, memorized in photos. On the eve of her final rest, a few fine shots testify to her pleasure in contemplating the water and breathing in the fresh air. Unfortunately, her trip to Scotland, the birthplace of her family name, never has been checked on her bucket list.

Suzanne has asked to be cremated and buried in the same location as her parents, at Notre-Dame Cemetery in Cornwall, located at 17 945 South Branch Road, South Stormont, Ontario. The burial will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 10 a.m. At Suzanne's request, no religious ceremony will be held. She has not specified donations to any organization… A personal choice. However, she died of cancer. INVITATION: Those wishing to attend the funeral are invited to meet at the above address. A few words will be said on the spot by some of the family members. The family will also gather for dinner at a nearby restaurant. An invitation is extended to all those attending the funeral.
