It is with great sadness that we share that Anne S. Treasure of Montrose, NY, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021. She was only 69 years old. Anne was born on April 10, 1952, to Michael and Harriet Stellato. Anne was a graduate of Hendrick Hudson High School and was a wonderful wife, dedicated mother, and loving sister.
Anne loved to travel with her husband David, and enjoyed crochet, fishing, gardening, and being outdoors - especially in her beautiful backyard. Anne adored spending time with her sons, nieces, nephews, grandnephews, and grandnieces. She crocheted many blankets, hats, and entire outfits for a number of nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, and sons. She was extremely talented when it came to other crafts, as well - and an amazing cook who prepared meals for her entire family that were always enjoyed and looked forward to.
Anne, words cannot describe the sense of loss everyone who knew you now feels. Your warmth and love touched the hearts of all. We will all miss you each and every day. It was clear that the children who loved you were the light of your life, and your focus on family was the heart of your soul. You had a magic about you that made the holidays livelier. You absolutely were the glue that held our family together.
Anne tragically lost her cherished son, Christopher last year. She is survived by her beloved husband, David; loving son, Jaymes, daughter-in-law, Theresa Treasure, devoted sister Tina (John) Zerello, and brother, David Stellato. She is also survived by her nieces Jenny Zerello, Amy (William) Mauro, Michelle (Orlando) Jordan, and Rachel Stellato, as well as nephews David, Michael, and Nicholas Stellato. She will be greatly missed by her beloved grand nephews and grandnieces, by whom she was affectionately called GAA (Great Auntie Anne): Johnathan (Johnny), Willow, Jack, Joe, and Jaxson, as well as many grand cousins.
Those who were lucky enough to see her play or color with the kids will remember how much fun she made every moment. She was also the best colorer when the crayons and coloring books came out. Every moment was made more exciting when she was present - whether it be a regular day enjoying a cup of coffee or tea, or one of her favorite barbecue get-togethers on the back deck.
A wake will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, NY, 10548. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 5, 2021, at the Church of Divine Love, 80 Sunset Rd, Montrose, NY 10548
