As the poem (“The Dash”) says, it’s all about that dash between the dates. Aristan abruptly left us: our hearts are broken, but our memories are rich. An inveterate helper, full of energy and smiles, he came to the US from Kazakhstan at three. Altar boy, God Squad member, Boy Scout and camp counselor, volunteer at Cortlandt Community Volunteer Corps, and professional EMT in Peekskill. A 2017 Hendrick Hudson graduate, he was studying at Westchester Community College to become a paramedic, proud of his work there and happy to make yet another group of new friends. He cherished his family, his extended family of friends and first responders. His “dash” was incredibly full of life and love.
A memorial visitation for Aristan will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Edward F. Carter, 170 Kings Ferry Rd, Montrose, New York 10548. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520.
