Chuck, as everyone called him, retired from Con Edison as a Lineman after 30 years. He proudly served our country in Vietnam. He was an incredible athlete and was inducted into the Hendrick Hudson Athletic Hall of Fame. He’s an All County Athlete, in both football and baseball, still holding many of the passing records - including total passing yards and touchdowns.
He attended Kent State University where he was red shirted his freshman year. He later played football for the Hagerstown Bears in the Atlantic Coast NFL minor football league as quarterback and brought in two league championships. In addition, he was selected as the Most Valuable Player in both his league and during the playoffs. He was a player and the coach for Da-Ro’s Athletic Club’s fast pitch softball team and he led them to state championships, regional championships leading them across the country to the National Softball Championships. He passed along his talents to many, with pride, as a sports coach at the Cortlandt Youth Center.
We will miss his smile, sense of humor and generosity of spirit. He is survived by his wife Sabrina, sister: Robin Clarke, his three children: Cory Reilly, Megan Reilly, Brianna Reilly and three beloved grandchildren. He also leaves behind countless Friends, Co-workers, Teammates and family that span from coast to coast, and whom he cherished with all his heart. He is predeceased by his much loved parents “Bud” and Marion Reilly. He was an extraordinary person and will be sorely missed by all.
