Elizabeth (Betty) M. Tuttle was born on 10/11/1928 to Bertha and Emil Partenheimer. On 2/19/2017 Betty accepted an invitation from her daughter, Joanne, to join her in Heaven. Betty was a long time resident of Buchanan where she attended Hendrick Hudson High School and graduated as valedictorian. Betty went on to work at Standard Brands, Con Edison and as a legal Secretary. She was the beloved wife of the late John C. Tuttle, Esq., loving mother of Joanne and Jacqueline and dear sister of the late Wilma and Emil Partenheimer. She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline C. Luptowski, her sons-in-law; William J. Luptowski and Timothy J. Chainer, her many cherished nieces and nephews and her surrogate granddaughter, Helen.
Betty will be remembered as the kindest person you could ever have the honor to know. She deeply loved her family and was known to do anything for them. She had a great love for animals and leaves behind her dog Penny, her pigeon Mortimer and nine stray cats. Betty loved to travel with her daughters, their many trips taking them to South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. Betty was not only a mother to her daughters, she was also their best friend. Betty moved to Phoenix Arizona to be with her daughter Jacqueline and in her final moments said to her daughter, “We will be together forever. You go have fun.”
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Little Orphan Animals; P.O. Box 268, Peekskill, New York 10566. A Funeral Service will be held to honor Betty on 3/3/2017 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Boscobel Methodist Church in Buchanan, NY. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Montrose.
