Gilbert Bernt Fredrickson

Gilbert was born September 22, 1937 to Elna and Holger Fredrickson. He was raised by Elsa Fredrickson and Carl Larson of Verplanck following his parent’s death.

Gilbert was a proud veteran who served honorably in the Navy aboard the USS Skill from 1956-60. Gil was married to the late Eileen Gale Fredrickson for 14 years. He worked for many years at Fleischmann’s, Tensolite and Croton High School.

While hardworking, he was always humble, humorous, thoughtful and considerate. Most importantly, Gilbert will be remembered as an incredibly loving and devoted father.

Gil is survived by his four loving children Eric, Todd, Kela, Craig and his 11 amazing grandchildren.

Services for Gilbert will be held New Years Eve, Saturday, December 31, 2022 with public viewing from 9-11 am at Carter Funeral Home at 170 Kings Ferry Rd, Montrose, NY 10548. To be followed by a short prayer service. All those who wish to honor Gilbert Fredrickson are welcome. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, 1035 Oregon Rd, Cortlandt Manor, New York.
