Daughter of the late Mary and Joseph Uninsky and wife of the late Oscar Burress. Born in Newark, NJ in 1929. She was a longtime resident of Buchanan and parishioner of St. Christopher’s Church.
Helen is survived by her sister, Josephine Papula; her children, John, Thomas, Oscar, Patricia and Stephen.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 170 Kings Ferry Rd., Montrose, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 27th at St. Christopher’s Church in Buchanan, follow by burial at Assumption Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor.
The family expresses their gratitude to the staff of Cabrini of Westchester for the compassionate, professional care they gave to Helen over the past 7 years. They will be forever grateful for all their kindness.
