Joan M. Van Dyke

Joan Marie Van Dyke, a lifelong area resident of Montrose, NY passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the age of 75. Joan was born to Hendrick & Johanna Van Til on August 30, 1939 in Peekskill, NY. Joan relished yearly vacations with her family and also loved the time spent taking care of her grandchildren.

Joan is survived by her beloved husband Carl Van Dyke of Montrose; cherished children Judy Rotella (John) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Laurie Small (Bill) of Buchanan, NY, Mark Van Dyke (Bree) of Stormville, NY, and Jill Achacoso (Rolando) of Scottsdale, AZ; adored grandchildren Tara Rotella, Bill Small (Tori), Pamela Mason (Sean), Mark Jake and Chloe Van Dyke, and Ethan Achacoso; much-loved great grandchildren Sabrina, Sean, and Alexandria Mason, and caring brother Harry Van Til of Montrose, NY. Joan was predeceased by her sister Connie Sabol and granddaughter Christina Marie Small.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Rd., Montrose, NY. A funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, 10AM at the Reformed Church of Cortlandtown, 2124 Albany Post Rd., Montrose, NY with burial to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery also in Montrose.
