Born on November 26, 1944, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, to Evelyn and Robert J. Brazee, in May of 1968 she married Walter L. Johnson, who preceded her in death in 2001. Linda's beloved son, Michael, passed away on November 15th, 2019, leaving his wife, Sonya Abrams, of San Francisco and three beautiful grandchildren, Noah (9), Austin (6), and Keira (5) Johnson. Brazee, of South Carolina and Lana Brazee (John) Voelp of Garrison, as well as several nieces and nephews. Her brother, Robert J. Brazee, of Cortlandt Manor, predeceased her on August 13, 2004.
Linda lived a life of many passions. Her love of children led her into a career of childcare. She spent many happy years working at the Flying Goose in Cortlandt Manor nurturing hundreds of children. She was known for her love of dancing and music, especially Elvis , reading mystery books, walking on the beach and spending holidays with her family and friends, including her lifelong best friend, Maryanne, of Florida and her boyfriend, Tommy, of Mahopac, who has been her guardian angel through her difficult journey. She will be remembered for her smile, laughter, kindness, warmth, loyalty and fierce protectiveness of her family.

Linda brought me almost 5 years of pure happiness - she was a soul mate. We enjoyed so many things together - going to concerts, movies, going out to dinner, going for walks, drives and trips to South Carolina and Florida. I felt at ease and completely comfortable with her. When she became ill, I felt responsible for her comfort and well being. I miss her so much. But I know she is at peace forever - I know she is at home with God.

I worked with Linda at The Flying Goose for almost 20 years. She was one of the sweetest people I ever met. She had a laugh that was contagious and she had a way of making even the shyest child feel comfortable in a new school. She cared for so many children and held so many parents hands. The world has lost a big heart and a wonderful laugh. Sending love to her family. Liz

I have known Linda for 43 years. She was always there for me when I needed someone to talk to. She was a great listener, nonjudgmental, and always willing to help. I will remember her sense of humor and laughter. She was quiet and kind. I will surely miss her. Rest In Peace.
