Mary M. “Maura” McGrath of Montrose, NY formerly from the Bronx, NY passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the age of 81. Mary was born to James and Julia (Collins) Greenlay on December 21, 1934 in New York, New York.
Mary is survived by her son Edward McGrath, daughter Jean McCool (Denis), daughter in law Karol Koetz, cherished grandchildren Kelly, Kathryn, Matthew and Karoline, caring sisters Elizabeth and Ellen Greenlay, and by several nieces and nephews and friends. Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband Edward T. McGrath.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 2-5 & 7-9PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Rd., Montrose, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Christopher’s Church Buchanan, NY on Friday, February 5th at 11AM with burial to follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery in the Bronx.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the New York State Veterans Home at Montrose.
