

Raymond P. Massagli, Sr. 90, born in Bronx, NY on January 8th, 1922 to Natale & Luisa Massagli. Ray enlisted in the Army Air Forces in January 1942 and served in the Pacific Theater during WWII where he received the American Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. Ray was honorably discharged from the Air Force in November, 1945.
Ray met the love of his life, Alba D’Amato in the Bronx in 1946. By October, 1947 they were married then had 2 children, Raymond Jr. and Laura. Ray retired as a Fleet Manager for Continental Baking in the Bronx. Ray was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 271 and was a former Manager and President of the Tre-Ford Little League.
Ray lived in Buchanan with his wife Alba. He is survived by his daughter Laura Petrillo (Jim) of Buchanan, daughter-in-law Judy Massagli of New Fairfield, CT, Grandchildren Raymond III and Sandra Feldman and 2 great-grandsons. He is also survived by his brother Peter (Irene) of Ridgefield, CT and nephew Philip Ranieri as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, son Raymond Jr. and his siblings Peggy, Ida & Olga.

Viewing on Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Road Montrose, NY 10548. Funeral will be on Saturday @ 10:00 at St Christopher`s Church 3094 Albany Post Rd. Buchanan, NY 10511. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, NY.
