

Robert John Touri, Sr, born on June 10, 1936, to Anthony and Katherine Touri, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024. He grew up in Port Chester, NY, where he was a track star at Port Chester High School.
Following his graduation, Robert proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Upon returning home, he met his future wife, Evelyn, at a picnic concert in White Plains. They married in 1957 and built a life filled with love and adventure.. He and Evelyn shared a passion for dancing, often lighting up the floor with their joy and enthusiasm.
He made a living as a house painter, a trade he pursued with dedication. Robert was an avid fisherman and small game hunter and was known for his generous spirit and his willingness to help anyone in need. His warmth and friendliness meant that everyone knew him, and he was a cherished figure in his community.
Robert is survived by his son, William James Touri Sr.; his grandson, William James Touri Jr.; his sister, Loretta Nethercott; and his brother, Albert Touri, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Evelyn (Rogers) Touri, and his sons, Robert J. Touri II and David Touri.
Robert will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness and love, as well as the joyful memories of dancing with Evelyn, will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
