Caesar Ricci arrived on May 19, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Ceser and Laura Ricci. He brought his light and love to the world that day. Caesar was the youngest of five brothers and two sisters.
Caesar’s influence extended beyond his family. He earned his Master of Music Education from Temple University and entered the United States Air Force as a 1st Lieutenant. He served Active Duty at Naha Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, and spent the next 25 years in the Air Force Reserve, earning the rank of Colonel. He also served as the Southern California Air Force Academy Liaison Officer. But perhaps his most significant role was as the band director at Moreno Valley High School for 25 years, where he inspired and influenced the hearts and minds of thousands of students.
Caesar met and married Martha Ricci, and they were together for the next 68 years. Together, they opened their hearts, adopted three children, and provided a life filled with love and adventure.
In passing, Caesar was preceded by his brothers and sisters, his daughter Barbara Ricci, Son Larry Ricci, granddaughter Britini Ricci, and loving wife Martha Ricci. Caesar is survived by their son Paul Ricci, grandsons Caesar Ricci and Nick Cotham, and great-granddaughter Jahziah Green.
Caesar’s love of music was a defining part of his life. His passion for music brought joy to those around him, and his sense of humor added a lightness to every situation.
Always in our hearts.
