Erlinda Pascual Saludares, was born on August 11, 1943, in Caramutan, La Paz, Tarlac, Philippines. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Regina Pascual, her special Aunt Ligaya P. Cayabyab known as her Mama Guy, her husband, Benedicto and her twin grandchildren, Jaymee and Jordann Gaitan Saludares. She leaves behind many family members and long-term friends. Erlinda passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, in Moreno Valley, California. She was 81 years old.
Erlinda, affectionately known as "Erling" in her childhood and "Linda" in her later years, was a supportive and loving Military spouse when she moved to the United States in 1965. Although graduating from Far Eastern University with a degree in Education, she was a homemaker/stay home mom to her children until they were in high school. She married her one true love, Benedicto J. Saludares, with whom she shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. Until the end of her years, she continued to spoil her family by always cooking their favorite Filipino dishes and spending time with them.
Linda was a devoted Mother/Mom to her three children: Joanna Endres, who is married to Jeremy; and sons Jarrell (Jay) and Jeffrey, who is married to Leah. She cherished her role as a Grandma/Lola to Abigail Lynn, Aaron Lucas, and Kyle Krampe. She also adored her grand fur babies: Blue, Roxy, Zoey, Junie, Bentley, Gatsby, Nori, and Wally.
A passionate individual, Linda found joy in shopping, reading magazines and romance novels, cooking, watching her TV shows, gardening, parties with her friends and, above all, spending quality time with her family. She was particularly fond of culinary delights from Red Lobster, Olive Garden and Chinese cuisine, with Chicken Tinola, Dinuguan, Pinakbet and Fried Tilapia with Buro being her Filipino favorites. She loved to dress up and participate in any events. While she treasured many moments, nothing brought her more happiness than watching her grandchildren at their all-sporting events. She loved to travel and watching her “apos” events gave her that chance.
Linda was known for her loving and thoughtful nature. She was a very strong person, a brain aneurysm survivor, a Breast cancer survivor, handled her Diabetes and was always willing to help anyone in need. As the only child, she was spoiled but also earned the respect of her extended family as the eldest on her paternal side. She was very good in teaching her children the values of life and learn about their heritage. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, touching the lives of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Until the end, she was happy and ready to be with her husband; and still expressed that she was good and wanted all to be happy and not sad.
