Frances was born on September 23, 1945 in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania to Louis and Masie (Howard) Manata. Frances attended and graduated from Ridley Township High School in 1963.
When she lived in Pennsylvania, she loved spending time with her extended family. There would be large family gatherings and always lots of food. She enjoyed helping her mom prepare for family get-togethers. She moved to California in 1976. She worked for Great Western Bank and Riverside County Child Protective Services from where she retired in 2012.
Frances loved the simple things. She enjoyed hanging out her clothes on the clothes line, listening to music while cleaning, walking on the beach or just going for a walk. She loved to open her blinds and windows as she loved the fresh air. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. Most of all, she loved her family. Frances’ family meant everything to her and any time she could spend with her daughters and grandsons was time she cherished most.
France is survived by her children: Denise (Michael) Langhorst of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Janine McDonough (Tige Dowdy) of Fountain Valley. Grandchild: Ryan Langhorst (Caroline Rogers) of Johnson City, Tennessee. Brother: Louis Manata (Donna Shanko Brown).
She was preceded in death by her; parents, sister Helen Ann Lodge, and grandchild Jacob Sanchez.
Memorials can be directed towards the City of Hope and the American Cancer Society.
