93, a resident of Moreno Valley over 40 years, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. She was born in Basehor, Kansas November 17, 1932.
She is survived by her six children, Marge Barker of Leavenworth, KS, Sally Ray of Santa Cruz, CA, Robert Desmond Jr. of Lee’s Summit, MO, Joni Desmond of Moreno Valley, CA, James Desmond of Sedalia, MO, and Mary Weronko of Springfield, IL.
She is also survived by 15 grandchildren: Les, Jeannette, Sandy, Tina, Bobby III, Candice, Erin, Daniel, Lauren, Sean, Jessica, Joshua, Michael, David, and Stephen and numerous wonderful great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Desmond in 2005.
Early in her married life she worked at various secretarial positions. Beginning in 1968, much to her family’s joy, she became a full time homemaker.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to Habitat for Humanity or Doctors Without Borders.
