John was one of three siblings and shared his early years with two brothers. As a young man, he proudly joined the United States Air Force. While stationed at Torrejon Air Base Spain, he met the love of his life, Carmen. They married on June 1, 1963, beginning a lifelong journey together filled with love, strength, and devotion. John and Carmen were blessed with four children: Carolyn Maria Olosky (1964-2013), Susan Margaret Olosky (b. 1966), and twin sons John and James, who sadly passed away at birth. Though John and Carmen faced the heartbreak of loss, their love and resilience carried them forward.
John dedicated over 20 years of honorable service in the United States Air Force, serving with distinction as a Fire Chief Sergeant during the Vietnam War. He retired in 1975 as a Technical Sergeant from March Air Force Base, having earned numerous medals and commendations. Even in retirement, John proudly considered himself a firefighter. Following his military career, John worked for Fritts Ford for maintenance for another 20 years. He and Carmen settled in Moreno Valley, California, where they lived a quiet and beautiful life together.
John found great joy in his family. He was a proud father, a loving grandfather to Sarah Faith Moore (b. 1996) and Perry Anthony Moore (b. 1994), and a deeply devoted great-grandfather to his four great-great-grandchildren: Kevin Givings, Ky'lonni Nicole Faith Givings, Semayah Rose Richardson, and Leihlah Richardson. John is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Carmen Olosky; his daughter, Susan Olosky; his grandchildren, Sarah Faith Moore and Perry Anthony Moore; and his cherished great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Carolyn, twin sons John and James, and other loved ones who now welcome him home.
John Anthony Olosky will be remembered as a devoted husband, a proud veteran, a dedicated worker, and above all, a family man whose strength and love touched generations.
