She lived in Indianapolis, IN for a while where she went to grade school and high school. She attended Arsenal Technical and along the way met and married Herry Tunstell. They then had a daughter Leslie, they were young, after a while they divorced. Joreatha then remarried to a wonderful man named William Mason and had two children Karen and William. After a while and another divorce she decided to move herself and her children back to New York.
Overtime with her children grown she decided to move to California. She lived in Inglewood, CA until she was offered a job at San Francisco Housing Authority. She was the property manager for 25 years until she retired in 2005. She decided to move in the LA area only to find a town called Moreno Valley, CA.
Joreatha had three children she loved dearly, no matter what and in her own way.
Joreatha loved partying, dancing, playing music, shopping for clothes, traveling, cooking and watching her favorite TV shows.
Joreatha leaves behind her three children Leslie Tunstell, Karen & her husband David Thomas, and son William & his wife Linda Mason, her brother David & sister Vernette Abrahams, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
