Kay Saundra Thorne

Kay Saundra Blocker/Thorne gained her wings on May 27th, 2023, She was born April 16th, 1941 to John Charles Turner and Flora Eloise Turner, and sister to Sharon R. Jackson and India Marie Ross, all who have transitioned. She grew up in Springfield Ohio, and graduated from Springfield High School. Kay then met Hugh L. Blocker and married him on May 6th, 1961, she had 6 children 3 of which were born in Ohio, Misti K. White, Lindsay Ann Blocker and John S. Blocker, she then moved to Los Angeles, California and had 3 more children, William G. Blocker, Stephanie J. Blocker, and Jeffrey H. Blocker, she also adopted a son Tyquan K. Williams who she loved with all of her heart. Kay later on got married to Anthony O. Thorne.

Kay brought Joy to everyone who knew her, she loved being around family and friends, she loved to dance and party, always smiling so bright with those beautiful deep dimples.

She also leaves behind a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends, all who loved her dearly. Kay left an imprint on many heart’s, and will truly be missed. Heaven has yet gained another angel, Now Tootie can go dance around in heaven all day.

A memorial service for Kay will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Miller Jones Mortuary and Crematory, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd, Moreno Valley, California 92553.
