Roberto Sanchez

Roberto Sanchez creció en Guadalupe de Lerma, Jalisco, México. En 1970 se mudó a Chapala, Jalisco, donde trabajó en una dulcería elaborando dulces mexicanos durante un año y medio. En 1971 conoció a Rosalba y comenzó a trabajar como mecánico. Se casó con Rosalba en 1973 y se mudaron a Guadalupe de Lerma. En 1974 regresaron a Chapala.

A principios de 1975, Roberto viajó a California, regresando a Chapala a mediados de ese mismo año cuando nació su primer hijo. En 1976, toda la familia viajó a California y, a finales de ese año, nació su segundo hijo. Roberto vivió en Irvine, donde trabajó para Hynes Nursery durante varios años. Posteriormente, trabajó para Dewey Waste Management por aproximadamente cinco años.

Después, Roberto se mudó a Garden Grove, donde trabajó en el campo por más de diez años. En 1997, se mudó a Corona y comenzó a trabajar en un centro de reciclaje. El amor de Roberto por las plantas y la naturaleza fue una constante a lo largo de su vida.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Rosalba Sanchez, y sus cinco hijos: Heriberto Sanchez (hijo), Cesar Sanchez (hijo), Erendira Sanchez (hija), Nancy Sanchez (hija) y Norma F. Sanchez (hija). También es recordado con mucho cariño por sus trece nietos y nueve bisnietos, quienes lo conocían y amaban como “Wuelo”.

Roberto Sanchez was raised in Guadalupe de Lerma, Jalisco, Mexico. In 1970, he moved to Chapala, Jalisco, where he worked in a candy shop making traditional Mexican candy for a year and a half. In 1971, he met Rosalba and began working as a mechanic. He married Rosalba in 1973, and they moved to Guadalupe de Lerma. In 1974, they returned to Chapala.

In early 1975, Roberto came to California, returning to Chapala later that year when his first son was born. In 1976, the family traveled together to California, and by the end of that year, his second son was born. Roberto lived in Irvine, where he worked for Hynes Nursery for several years. He later worked for Dewey Waste Management for approximately five years.

Afterward, Roberto moved to Garden Grove and worked in the fields for over ten years. In 1997, he moved to Corona and began working at a recycling center. Roberto’s love for plants and nature was a constant throughout his life.

Roberto is survived by his wife, Rosalba Sanchez, and his five children: Heriberto Sanchez (son), Cesar Sanchez (son), Erendira Sanchez (daughter), Nancy Sanchez (daughter), and Norma F. Sanchez (daughter). He is also lovingly remembered by his thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, who knew him affectionately as “Wuelo.”
